Orthopedic Associates Surgery Center Earns 2025 Leapfrog Top Ambulatory Surgery Center Award
Third Consecutive Year Recognized Nationally for Outstanding Quality and Patient Safety
HARTFORD, Conn., December 15, 2025 – Orthopedic Associates Surgery Center (OASC), Orthopedic Associates of Hartford (OAH)’s physician-owned ambulatory surgery center, has been named a 2025 Leapfrog Top Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC). This marks the third consecutive year OASC has earned this prestigious national distinction, underscoring its sustained commitment to delivering exceptional patient-centered care.
The Leapfrog Group’s Top ASC Award recognizes facilities that demonstrate excellence in quality and safety across rigorous performance standards, including error prevention, patient experience, hand hygiene, staffing, and adherence to surgical safety protocols.
For 2025, OASC is one of only 37 ASCs nationwide to receive the Top ASC Award and one of six facilities in Connecticut to earn the recognition. OASC is also one of only 19 centers nationwide to earn the Top ASC designation for three consecutive years.

The award is presented annually by The Leapfrog Group, a national, independent watchdog organization recognized for setting rigorous standards for healthcare safety and quality. The Top ASC Award, now in its fourth year, is modeled after the highly esteemed Leapfrog Top Hospital Award, which has been in existence since 2006.
The 45,000-square-foot Orthopedic Associates Surgery Center opened in January 2019 and is located at 150 Enterprise Drive in Rocky Hill. In 2025, the center will perform more than 10,000 procedures, with over 1,000 total joint replacements completed annually. The center features:
• 29 private treatment bays with comfortable recliner beds, warm blankets, and personal televisions
• One private procedure room for non-operative procedures
• Seven spacious operating rooms, each measuring more than 650 square feet
• The most advanced sterilization equipment and technology on the market, enabling the center to maintain infection rates near zero
