Day of Surgery

Please wear loose and comfortable clothing that can be easily removed as you will be asked to change into a gown. If you are having hand surgery, wear something with large, flexible sleeves. If you are having leg or foot surgery, wear shorts or very loose pants. Please remove nail polish for finger, hand, and foot surgeries.  Do not use cosmetics, make-up, or hairspray. Leave money, jewelry, and other valuables at home. Please remove all jewelry, including body piercings. If not, the center will ask you to remove them.You can brush your teeth the morning of surgery.


Upon Arrival

Once you arrive, you will be asked to complete necessary paperwork, which includes authorization for the Surgery Center to release information to your insurance company. 

Be sure to bring your list of medications, a valid insurance card, and a photo ID. If not available at the time of admission, a delay in your surgery or cancellation may occur.

In the case of minors (under 18), a parent or guardian must accompany the patient and remain at the Surgery Center. Female patients of childbearing age will be asked to provide a urine specimen for a pregnancy test during the admission process.
